Nazaré, July 30, 2019. Today Portugal’s Minister for the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, visited the construction work of Oceano Fresco’s Biomarine Center near the fishing port of Nazaré. Accompanied by the Secretary of State for Fisheries, José Apolinário, Ms. Vitorino underlined that "this is the way" for the industry.

She added:"it's amazing, our country is taking a leap and that can only make us all proud."
Also present during the visit were the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Nazaré, joined by several other local authorities, as well as the President of Docapesca, Teresa Coelho, and her team, and sea-related public entities such as the DGRM and the MAR2020 Managing Authority.

Still according to the Minister, this investment "bridges a gap" in the production of clam seed, "widening the aquaculture value chain" and "the new hatchery arises as an item of economic value added" fostering "the creation of highly qualified employment".
